This tour gives you the best of both worlds - meeting Santa at the Santa Claus village and then a stay in a wilderness lodge with glass panoramic windows designed to see the Northern Lights and winter activities to fill your days.

This morning, transfer 20 minutes before joining an electric snowmobile adventure in total silence! Set off to the forest and learn how to master an eSled by driving on the frozen lake and in snowy forest. Watch the rising sun turn the wilderness into a vista of glistening white. You will enjoy a nice break by fire camp in a cozy wooden kota. Where you will grill some sausages with the help of our guide. You will stop on scenic view point to feel the peace and make nice photo souvenir!
On your return into central Rovaniemi, you have the afternoon free for independent activities. We recommend a visit to the Santa Claus Village or the Arktikum museum.
Today you will transfer to your Wilderness Lodge accommodation in Salla, a two hour drive away. With it's ridge-top location and panoramic windows, you have a good chance of watching the catching the Northern Lights as well as breath-taking views over a pure arctic landscape.
The panoramic windows of the Salla Wilderness Lodges open a dialogue between you and the old pine trees outside, while the Sallatunturi fells gently whisper in the background. Enjoy a sauna and hot tub, kitchenette and bathroom in your accommodation.
Dinner is included this evening.
Driving a reindeer through the wintery forest is a breathtaking experience. On this safari you have a chance to enjoy the nature and be amazed how reindeer go through the wilderness.
Before the safari the guide will give you a driving lesson and tell you how to handle the reindeer. After the lesson you will get your own reindeer and drive it yourself behind the guide. Driving a reindeer and sleigh is quite simple and very relaxing way to move in the wintery forest. Children will be seated with a parent in the same sleigh.
Along the way you will have couple stops. First the female and calf reindeer needs to be fed. On a photo stop you can have photos of you and reindeer and maybe take a pic for next Christmas card. You will also stop in Lappish hut and enjoy sausage, hot drinks and bun.
This evening, you will join a Northern Lights excursion by snow shoes. When the darkness falls over the Arctic Circle, put on the snowshoes and head out to the forest.
Even though polar night is on and the sun goes down early, the snowy forest is never completely dark. After a short walk,you will get out from the street lights, your eyes will get used to the darkness and you start to see without the lights. Normally you will walk without any headlights. Pure white snow, stars, moon and sometimes even the Auroras lights up the way.
The goal on the walk is to find a perfect, dark and quiet spot in the forest. Those are the few key things when chasing the Northern Lights.
After breakfast, you will head out for a husky safari. Before the safari the guide will give you a driving lesson and tell you how to handle the sleigh. In every sleigh there is one place for a passenger and then the driver is behind the sleigh. Passenger and driver will change places half a way so everyone gets a chance to drive. The driver must be over 18 years old.
On the safari you will get to drive a team of dogs across varying Lappish terrain. Along the way, stop for some hot drinks and sweet buns. You can also grill a sausage by an open fire.
This morning, private transfer to the Rovaniemi airport, 2 hours drive away.
All prices listed are per person, based on two adults sharing a double room. Triple family share based on child between 4 years and 13 years old.
Prices for Christmas and Easter periods on request. Triple share is a 120cm extra bed in the alcove, best suited for 1 child but can sleep 2 small children.

We have excluded dinners as you may like to visit local restaurants in Rovaniemi. Please let us know if you would like to include the first dinner on arrival or anything else. Lunches often clash with activities so we leave it up to you to fit in with your day.
