Kittilä is situated about 150 km north from Rovaniemi. It is located in northern Finland north of the Arctic Circle within the Lapland region. The municipality has a population of 6,449. Kittilä airport is located in the city centre is served by Finnair, Blue1 and Norwegian Air Shuttle from Helsinki, as well as by some other charter airlines.
