Walking trails from Vangsgården

If you don't have a car staying at Vangsgården, you can join the local trails for some shorter walks from the guesthouse, but it is quite steep up to Liahovden. Otherwise, we suggest heading up to Vassbygdi with transport and walk from there up Aurlandsdalen, which is pretty.
The hotel will know much more about smaller local walk and like all Norwegian hill tracks, the trail is generally easy to find and follow.

Taking a local bus up to Vassbygdi and walk from there up Aurlandsalen is nice.

For a true adventure, perhaps think about the hike up to Prest. This is a steep walk and you need to be suitably prepared. For details, refer to this local photography link which has a detailed guide to walking this mountain top.
