    Join us for a summer escape to the land of ice and fire in the middle of the North Atlantic. We will take you out to see the most famous sights around the Golden Circle and the South Coast of Iceland. To get you into the holiday mood, stop at the Blue Lagoon for a soak in the warm healing waters on the way into Reykjavik. NEW INCLUSION - a chance to bathe in one of Iceland’s hot springs, the new Hvammsvík geothermal sea baths.

    Itinerary

    Day 1 - Arrive in Iceland and visit Blue Lagoon

    Arrive into Keflavik airport and take a private transfer to Blue Lagoon. Your flights generally arrives early in the morning so this is a nice way to refresh and relax before your check in time in Reykjavik. Your driver will wait for you at the Lagoon for a 3-h visit.

    Afterwards, continue into Reykjavik. Our local guide will meet you at the hotel, and go through the program with you, give you the best restaurant tips and ideas on what to do and where to go. The evening is yours to explore this compact city. Be sure to check out the Harpa Opera house on the harbour.

    Day 2 - Round trip day tour visiting the Geysir Hot Spring, Hvammsvík geothermal sea baths, Gullfoss Waterfall, Þingvellir National Park and dairy farm lunch

    Day small group tour to the Golden Circle region. You will be picked up by small minivan (max 14 travellers) and explore Þingvellir National Park, home of Iceland’s ancient Viking parliament and listed as a UNESCO’s World Heritage site will be our first stop. There you will take a walk to experience firsthand the geological phenomenon that is the Mid-Atlantic ridge.

    While you are in Iceland, there is a “must do” to try all the authentic Iceland has to offer. You get the chance to visit an Icelandic dairy farm and enjoy what Icelander's call, "Made in satin”. That means enjoying food and products which the farmers make with their own hands.

    After lunch, head to the Geysir blow hole and then the Gullfoss waterfall. Then it is your chance to bathe in one of Iceland’s hot springs, the new Hvammsvík geothermal sea baths. These geothermal sea baths located in Hvalfjörður (whale fjord) and there you get the most stunning view while relaxing both mind and body. Return to Reykjavik in the late afternoon.

    Day 3 - Round Trip day tour to see Skógafoss Waterfall, Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, Reynisfjara Black Beach, Sólheimajökull Glacier View and dinner at the Viking restaurant.

    Today, travel to the south coast of Iceland with its black beaches, picturesque waterfalls and magnificent glaciers. On our way you will witness the many sides of Icelandic nature and culture. Gljúfrabúi waterfall and Seljalandsfoss waterfall are the first stops. Skógafoss waterfall is the next stop.

    Then visit Sólheimajökull Glacier which is the highlight of the day. Walking on the glacier with Iceland's most powerful volcano lying underneath is a surreal experience. The next stop is a walk along the Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach and afterwards, on the way back to Reykjavik, enjoy dinner at the Viking Restaurant at around 18:00 hours.

    Day 4 - Reykjavik - optional activities such as 'Inside the Volcano' tour or a visit to the Secret Lagoon

    Today is a free day in Reykjavik, an easy city to explore on foot or bike. Feel the fresh air on your face with a visit the harbour and perhaps enjoy a food tour of this small capital. If you're interested in experiencing the city's thriving coffee culture, head to the main street, Laugavegur, to enjoy its various shops and cosy cafes.

    Optional day tours include the 'Inside the Volcano' or the 'Inside the Glacier' tour which we would recommend booking before you travel.

    Important Information

    This itinerary can be shortened according to your stopover plans. Your flight is likely to arrive in the early morning - we can pick you up at the airport, whisk you to the Blue Lagoon for an early dip and store your luggage before travelling into Reykjavik (60 mins drive away).

    Please note that the authorities of Reykjavik City have banned bus traffic in the city centre. Hence for small group activities, pick-up will be from a bus stop close to your hotel.

    Lunch can be purchased along the way during the day trips or bring your own. Boots can also be hired if necessary.

    The program is flexible and can be tailored to your preferences.
