Um Áarstovu

The cozy, dim, candle-lit dining rooms in this old wooden house (once the home of a pair of brothers who later became locally famous poets) make an evocative setting for modern Faroese food. You will find this restaurant wedged between Havnará (the Tórshavn Brook) and Áarvegur, the main street (by the Brook) in old Tórshavn.

There are three- and five-course tasting menus, the latter of which consists of smoked salmon, luscious langoustine bisque, two different dishes of locally produced lamb and dessert.

Open all days of the week from 6pm until 12pm, kitchen closes at 10pm.
