Atlanterhavsparken Aquarium and Mount Aksla

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Northern Europe's largest salt-water aquarium
  • Spectacular diving show
  • A visit to the resident penguins

Atlanterhavsparken is one of Northern Europe’s largest saltwater aquariums and an architectural gem, built into the coastal landscape. Large tanks provide unfiltered views of sea life along Norway´s Atlantic coastline. Enjoy close encounters with a colorful and exciting range of fish and fauna. The aquarium tour includes a spectacular dive show in Norway’s largest aquarium tank, where you watch fish being hand-fed by the divers.

Also visit the open-air pool to meet the park´s resident penguins. You can also try feeding the catfish, and taste hot catfish cakes. Also learn about regional bird and marine life, and environmental protection. After visiting Atlanterhavsparken, we continue on and upwards to the top of Mount Aksla for a remarkable view of Ålesund, before returning to the quayside.
