Day 2 - Reindeer Sledding, Ice-Karting and Aurora Tour in the evening

Meet your guide this morning and walk together (or toboggan slide) to the Reindeer island. Your reindeer sleigh is awaiting and will take you on a peaceful winter adventure in a traditional ‘raito’ where the reindeer walk one after another each pulling a sleigh.

Sit back and enjoy the 800m sleigh ride through the snowy forest. Coffee is served by campfire in front of a traditional Laavu-shelter at the finishing point.

Afterwards, get a nice bag of lichen to feed to the reindeer. They come close and with a little patience they will eat from your hand. This is a good time to take close-up photos with reindeer too.

Before dinner at the hotel, head out for an ice-karting adventure. These winter go-karts are fun to drive on an icy track laid out in the forest near Aurora Village. The lap timing system will tell you your lap times on a break and you may want to turn to your guide for some tips on how to tackle those slippery corners as fast as possible.

In the evening, join an exciting Northern lights search by car. After some research on the weather forecast, with a professional Aurora Hunter, you will drive it to places where the sky is most clear and the probability of seeing the Northern Lights is highest.

Next is a snowmobile safari after lunch. Drive through the arctic winter forests while admiring the beauty of the Lappish nature. Your guide leads the way on this exciting snowmobile safari. Keep your camera with you! There are a couple of stops for taking amazing photos and chatting with your guide about life in Lapland.
