Santa Lapland Holidays 2023
Plan ahead for one of our tailor-made Christmas Santa holidays for 2023 now.
It is the season to be merry and also the season to plan your 2022 White Christmas holiday. The snow will soon be falling in Lapland and Christmas lights will be soon polished and turned on.
Many of our Christmas holidays are very popular and we recommend speaking to us early about your travel plans. For 2023, there will be very limited availability due to the volume of families who have postponed their holidays.
Spend Christmas in Finnish Lapland with an opportunity to meet Santa at his hideaway, cross the Arctic Circle and send postcards from Santa’s post office. On tours to Lapland, your family can experience all the activities possible in snow: mini snowmobiles for kids, medium sized snow cross snowmobiles for older ones to enjoy more speed in a circuit, and 4 wheeled forest scooters for everyone to enjoy! Have family fun using kick sledges, a toboggan run, ice golfing, snowshoes, and skies to try out.
At 50 Degrees North, we specialise in Santa holidays that take you away from the crowds and provide your family unique and special experiences. Your children will meet Santa in his secret hideaway in the forest or you can even have Santa visit your hotel room or cabin, in very private family experiences. It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so it is worth getting it right. Our Finnish tour specialists can also find your family places to stay and meet Santa if you have children with special needs.
Some of our favourite escorted Christmas tours are running again this year. Lapland Christmas Magic is now in its tenth year departing as a small group escorted tour. Based in a small village in Finland, Äkäslompolo, our Finnish escort, Mari has escorted this tour for several years and will be coming along again this year to ensure families have an unforgettable Santa Holiday. Santa meets each family in a private cabin nestled in the forest with each family having 15-20 minutes talking and receiving a gift from Santa. Each family have their own log cabin with sauna, kitchen, living room and outdoor winter equipment to use outside. Everyone gets their own winter outfits for the week and dinners at real local restaurants are included each evening.
Make the lyrics of Jingle Bells ring true this year - imagine your family dashing through the snow on either a horse or reindeer open sleigh. Or enjoy winter activities including cross-country skiing, snowshoe walking, snowmobiling, skating, ice fishing, kick sledging, rapid swimming, husky safaris...
What fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight!
