Northern Lights

These tours are dedicated to the phenomena of the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights). These natural displays of green, white and purple light occur most frequently in the Polar Regions in a 2500 km radius off the geomagnetic pole. The zone with the most intense sightings of Aurora Borealis extends over Lapland in northern Scandinavia, Iceland, Greenland and Finland. As it happens this is our specialist area and we are here to help you.

Visit our page about when to see the Northern Lights.

ICEHOTEL & Snow hotels

There are several opportunities to experience a night in an ice or snow room during your trip to the far north. The Kirkenes Snow Hotel, the Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel in Alta, Lainio snow village and ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi are all set up as ‘hotels’. Other resorts offer simpler freestanding igloos alongside their more traditional accommodation.

If you love the idea of this, speak to our Destination Specialists about what is available in the North. We can help you with combining options such as the Lainio snow village which offers Teepee cabins with your own private spa, the Snow castle in Kemi or visiting the Norwegian city of Geilo for the Ice Music Festival
