An easy option for enjoying Vancouver is visiting Stanley Park, a magnificent 404-hectare park. Stroll or cycle (rentals near the W Georgia St entrance) around the 8.8km seawall. Fringed by a 150,000-tree temperate rainforest, it’ll take you past the park’s popular totem poles and alongside its shimmering oceanfront.

Within a 30 minute drive, you can be skiing on the snow-capped giants, visible from downtown. Ski in the mornings and perhaps hit the beach in the afternoon!
